Mr. G’s teaching methods.
Grey’s Anatomy (March 27, 2005)
7 years ago to this day, Grey’s Anatomy first aired on ABC. No one could have possibly foreseen the massive impact it would have in our generation 7 years later. The show first invited us into the lives of Meredith Grey, Cristina Yang, Izzie Stevens, Alex Karev, George O’Malley, Derek Shepherd, Miranda Bailey… It gave us something to relate to, whether it was Meredith’s dark and twisty personality, Alex’s bad boy attitude, Izzie’s spirited and bubbly personality, George’s quirkiness or even Cristina’s bad-ass-I-don’t-give-a-crap-about-you persona. Everyone got to grow up with them, learn from their mistakes, share their heartaches, laugh at their jokes, gasp at life-altering situations and even cry at drownings and shootings (still not over that one, folks.) But now, my fellow friends, who stand in the Grey’s fandom with me, we have one woman to thank to. Sure, we have to thank Ellen Pompeo, Patrick Dempsey, Sandra Oh, Katherine Heigl, Justin Chambers, T.R. Knight… But I think y’all know they wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for Shonda Rhimes. Now I know we all have had our fair share of either heartache or heavenly bliss thanks to this fine lady.
Now, hold on…SERIOUSLY?! It’s been 7-freaking-years?! I guess time does fly by when you enjoy something, and let me tell you, fewer things in life give me more joy than Grey’s. So on this special day, let’s thank Grey’s Anatomy. Really thank Grey’s.
Grey’s Anatomy has changed my life and the lives of many people across the world, taught me how to live, love and be happy, how to handle life-changing situations, how to embrace difference, how to cope when there seems to be little to no hope left. And that, my friends, deserves a big toast!
RAISE YOUR GLASS TO GREY’S, GUYS. WE ALL MADE IT. 7 YEARS AND COUNTING! HOPE MANY MORE ARE TO COME. SERIOUSLY. I LOVE THIS FANDOM.

Happy 46th Birthday to my hero, my inspiration and the joy of my life, Mr. Patrick Dempsey!
I think it goes without saying just how much love and adoration I have for you, Patrick. You are by far the person who inspires me the most in this world, I look to you whenever I’m in need of some infusion of happiness into my life. You bring joy, love and warmth into my days and I can only pray to God you’ll always be around to lift my soul. You are an amazing, terrific and breathtaking person, actor, driver, friend but, most of all, an amazing father and husband. No one shall ever take your place in my heart for as long as we both shall live. If I can touch the life of someone in the same way you’ve touched mine, then I’ve reached my goal in life. I wish you the most amazing 46th birthday filled with happiness and love and I’ll be holding out for the day me and you meet face to face and in which I’ll have the opportunity to hug you and tell you just how much of a difference you’ve made in my life.
I love you madly with all my heart and soul,
Francisca x
